Psychotherapist Orbach documents how our bodies bear the measure of our worth as never before. I expected to read about how conflicts of the mind affect the body but was surprised to learn so much about how we imprint our physicality on our kids. Plenty of interesting stuff for those with children, such as how our physicality is not genetic but largely ‘learned’ by our mothers and how babies’ self-perception is affected when the mother’s response is lacking.
